The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it is alarmed regarding the significant number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The company point created for intervention experiences a higher influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes status sassa it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to empower the servicing of all buyers and boost access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
